Theme: Reflection on your year learning English
As the clock ticks away,
And the year comes to an end,
I look back at the first day,
That I had to attend,
From learning how to persuade,
To learning how to describe,
From teachers providing aid,
To the interviews we transcribed,
From exhaustive examinations,
To text summarization,
It all went by so fast,
I had never comprehended,
From the first day to the last,
As our knowledge ascended,
My thoughts still linger,
Although the day came to an end,
I know I walked in with strangers,
But I walked out with friends.
