As we are approaching World Poetry Day and the UAE probe is in orbit, let's share our poetry on the topic of UAE pride. Some of the topics you could write about include the probe, Hope, National Day or anything else that you love about this country we call home!
MARS PROBE
When the rocket launched,
Hearts started pounding,
Waiting to know,
What the universe holds.
Within a few months it landed,
The Red Planet was now visible to us,
The barren land with nothing to sight,
Still showed evidence of life.
The scorching hot weather,
With no water around,
Nothing green that we can see,
Life on Mars is not as easy as it seems.

Amidst the trouble and suffering,
We always, cease to know.
In the end lies, a shine fluttering,
Its generous way, to hope.
None other, than this nation,
United the people be.
Always innovative, no culmination,
From Bedouin, to a city’s fleet.
This light of hope, raised,
Into, the spatial neighbour.
Recondite no more, we say,
As it took, the first step as cosmopolitan.
Stairs of Success

Our nation’s legacy started from a zero,
But rose up thanks to our faithful hero.
Striving and working for sleepless hours,
Now we proudly proclaim what is ours.
50 years of dedication, harmony and pride
Nevertheless, our traditions and customs still deep inside,
Great leaders come and go before our eyes
And our flag soaring high above the skies.
Together we proudly stand,
As we behold works of our wonderful land
A melting pot of cultures and nationalities
All living in peace despite all the differences and similarities

Mission Success
I lay staring at the purple and blue night
The sky sprinkled with gleaming stars.
I wish with all my might
To see the probe that orbits Mars.
To see the probe that observes the planet
Of which lie many wonders.
I thought to myself now that we’ve ventured
Many miles from the Earth,
There is still more to be discovered
Find other marvels for all it is worth.
After all the space we explore is endless
Why not travel further on?
Hooray to a successful mission
And to many more that may come.
I feel nothing but immense pride
As I think about the brilliant expedition.
Following the completion of the vision
